On 23 March this year the town of Palmira, Colombia celebrated
World Water Day
The slogan was, "Palmira, save water, and the earth will admire you."
This initiative, led by CIDEA (Comité Interconstitutionnel d'Education Environnementale), a committee that ACUAVIVA is part of, was aimed at building links between the public and private teaching establishments, to enable them to communicate to all the people of Palmira, through their messages and their processions, the importance of conserving and protecting water, and of being responsible for its use.
20 establishments took part in the event and their creative processions, abounding with colour and excitement, was a great success and raised the environmental awareness of the public. The procession ended in the Municipal Wood where the 3 best floats were congratulated. The town of Palmira thanks all those involved for their participation.
